A Note on the 50 Listed Artists of the Public Orchestra:
These are our working guidelines for selection as we rehearse the process of composing the first Public Orchestra.
- Sonic diversity of instrumentation and artistic practice representative of the traditions found in Philadelphia.
- Range of musical experience and skill sets, including the ability to contribute openly to the process of the orchestra.
- Distribution of location, occupation, gender, racial and cultural identity, ability, sexual orientation and age.
